Here at Insane Championship Wrestling, we have recently received word that Mikey Whiplash will be out of action indefinitely, due to a concussion suffered last weekend while competing.

Whilst competiting elsewhere in the country, Whiplash was knocked unconscious during his match, and was later diagnosed with a concussion, with Doctors insisting that he remain out of the ring for the forseeable future, in order to heal up as well as he can.

Whiplash was originally scheduled to face Chris Renfrew the following night, in a first time ever encounter at the 02 Academy Sheffield, as part of ICW: Up Down Left Right A C Start (available to watch now on ICW On Demand) but, due to his injury, was unable to appear. Renfrew would go on to claim responsibility for Whiplash's concussion, on behalf of the New Age Kliq, after their vicious assualt on the former ICW Heavyweight Champion at ICW: Alex Kidd In London, which saw him mercilessly beaten with a barbed-wire wrapped steel chair. However, Dickie Divers was quick to refute these claims, having witnessed Whiplash's unfortunate accident only 24 hours earlier. With that said, it could be hard to dispute that the NAK's torture of Whiplash as of late has not taken it's toll on Mikey, weakening him like no-one ever has before.

We have no word as of yet how long Whiplash will be out of action, however insanewrestling.co.uk will keep you updated as soon as any further details are available to us. Everyone hear at the insanewrestling.co.uk team wishes Mikey a speedy recovery, and we hope to see him back in the ring as soon as possible.
