The last few days in Insane Championship Wrestling have been some of the most memorable and shocking that fans and staff alike can remember, and on Tuesday, November 18th, the company was thrown yet another curveball, as Red Lightning announced his resignation from his post as ICW General Manager.
After both The Black Label and The 55 suffered losses at Fear & Loathing VIII, Red Lightning released the following statement via his Facebook page, regarding his future with Insane Championship Wrestling;

"Maryhill, Glasgow

Tuesday November 17th 2015

Defeat is a hard thing to cope with.

ICW has a new champion and this man is set to lead the locker room and the company onto the next chapter of the ICW story, following the announcement that The SSE Hydro will host ICW on November 20th 2016.

In my own personal situation, defeat for me came the very day I took this job. I have had constraint after constraint thrown in my way on my quest to build this company into an International player on the pro Wrestling circuit.

I worked tirelessly with Drew Galloway and Jack Jester , long before this became public knowledge, to mark our blueprint for the future of this company. To this date that blueprint is exact in terms of it's progress. I stand by every decision I have made as the GM of ICW and I stand by my claims that all of those decisions made culminated in making Sunday night's show as memorable as it was.

I gave you that show.

It is with the slightest of regret that I have, as of lunchtime today, resigned as the General Manager of Insane Championship Wrestling.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my closest friends who have supported me throughout my tenure as GM. Drew Galloway and Jack Jester. Also Jamie Kennedy and The 55, Lionheart and Liam Thomson - who have shown full support of all of my decisions as GM.

The question now is, what is next for Red Lightning? How do The Black Label pick themselves up after Fear & Loathing 8?

I'm not allowed to tell you yet."

While no-one can be sure of what lies ahead for Red Lightning in Insane Championship Wrestling, his resignation leaves a huge cloud of uncertainty over the company. Does Red have plans to return to the ring as a full-time competitor? What will become of The Black Label, and who will fill the General Manager role in ICW? Keep your eyes on for updates, as they come to light!
