The ICW's Women's division has, in the past few months, heated up more than ever before. With so many top-class female talents making their way to Insane Championship Wrestling, everyone is looking to cement themselves as the top competitor in the division, and at ICW: Fear & Loathing VIII, we will finally crown the first ever ICW Women's Champion, in the final of months-long tournament. On November 15th, in front of a sold-out SECC in Glasgow, 'The Best In The Galaxy' Nikki Storm will battle it out with 'The Queen of Hardcore' Kay Lee Ray for the right to be called Champion!
Thought up by ICW General Manager Red Lightning, the ICW Women's Championship Tournament saw 8 top female talents compete in a number of matches, all looking to make it to the SECC on November 15th. Everyone from Debbie Sharp, to Layla Rose, and even Mickie James fought for their shot to advance in the tournament, but when the dust had settled, and the fighting was over, Nikki Storm and Kay Lee Ray were the two women left standing. Having travelled the world, competiting against some of the planet's most well-known grapplers, many felt these two were always destined to make it to the SECC on November 15th, and on that night, neither of them will be looking to leave without the gold around their waist.
Undoubtedly one of the finest talents this country has ever produced, 'The Best In The Galaxy' Nikki Storm may come across as arrogant, but their is nothing that this competitor says that she cannot back up in the ring. As technically gifted between the ropes as anyone in ICW, Storm is an extremely intelligent grappler who can methodically pick her opponents apart, choosing her moments to strike wisely, on the road to victory. Having competed in both Japan and America, Storm has fine-tuned her skills all over the planet, moulding herself into one of the most impressive competitors on the scene today. On November 15th, she will be out to prove that she is, indeed, the best female competitor that ICW has to offer, by leaving with the ICW Women's Championship in her grasp.
'The Queen of Hardcore' Kay Lee Ray has long been a staple of the ICW Wome's Division, having competed in some of company's most brutal matches, and coming out on top on more than a few occasions. As well as being a top class competitor who possesses a lethal aerial assault, Kay Lee has shown most resiliency than most who have stepped in the ICW ring, coming back from seemingly life-threatening punishment to claim victory. Since joining the New Age Kliq in April of this year, Kay Lee has shown a much darker side to her personality, and will use the numbers game to her advantage whenever possible to acheive her goals. While she may have advanced the finals of the ICW Women's Championship Tournament by controversial means, Kay Lee Ray is more than capable of handling herself in the ring, and with gold in her sights, 'The Queen of Hardcore' may have the ultimate plan up her sleeve to win the big one on November 15th.
On November 15th at the SECC, the ICW Women's Championship Tournament comes to an end, as two world-class athletes fight it out for their chance to make history, and become the first ever ICW Women's Champion. Will 'The Best In The Galaxy' climb to the top of the mountain, or will 'The Queen of Hardcore' dig deep one more time, and leave with the title?
