ICW: Fear & Loathing VIII on November 15th is already set to be the biggest event in the company’s history, with the SECC in Glasgow playing host to an extravaganza the likes of which European Wrestling has ever seen, but after the events that unfolded on the final night of ICW’s Flying Circus run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Fear & Loathing VIII just got even bigger, as a blockbuster main event was signed!
Despite having made his intentions to chase the ICW World Heavyweight Championship clear at Shug’s Hoose Party II, Grado’s hopes of main eventing Fear & Loathing VIII on November 15th remained only a dream, as no clear #1 Contender had been decided upon to challenge for the gold at the SECC. With Drew Galloway and the rest of The Black Label spending more time terrorising ICW, and less time worrying about the biggest show in the company’s history, Grado took matters into his own hands on the final night of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, playing on Drew Galloway’s fragile emotions to get the opportunity he desired.
Coming to the aide of Kris Travis during a beatdown by Red Lightning, Jack Jester and Drew Galloway, Grado, along with Damo and Joe Coffey, sent The Black Label running for the hills, before taking to the mic to throw out the biggest challenge of his life. Fired up and ready to take on the world, Grado demanded a shot at the ICW World Heavyweight Championship, proclaiming that Drew Galloway was too afraid to face him, for fear of embarrassment if he lost. Sick and tired of people questioning his reign as ICW Heavyweight Champion, that was all the motivation Drew Galloway needed to angrily accept Grado’s challenge!
ICW GM Red Lightning, enraged at the idea of Grado main-eventing Fear & Loathing VIII, attempted to cancel the match there and then, but he was in for a surprise when ICW Owner Mark Dallas shockingly returned, making the match official, and promising to put Red Lightning in his place!
Now, these two icons of Insane Championship Wrestling will collide on the company’s biggest ever stage, with the ICW World Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance. Two very different, but equally passionate competitors, Drew Galloway and Grado will surely throw everything they have at one and other in, arguably, the biggest main event in Scottish Wrestling history. On November 15th, they will go one-on-one for the richest prize in European Wrestling, but at the end of the night, will Grado finally achieve his dream of becoming ICW World Heavyweight Champion, or will Drew Galloway’s storied reign continue as he finally silences Grado, and all of his nay-sayers? No matter what happens, this will be a match unlike any other, and you do not want to miss it!
