April 16th 2017. The date 'The Iron Man' Joe Coffey finally reclaimed the ICW World Heavyweight Championship. After the heartbreak of being champion, and then having the gold only moments later snatched from his grasp by Wolfgang, who cashed in his right to face the champion at a time of his choosing at Shugs House Party 3, mere minutes after Joe Coffey had defeated then-ICW World Heavyweight Champion Big Damo, this was Joe Coffey redemptions He was finally the man in Insane Championship Wrestling.

On that very same evening that Joe became two time ICW World Heavyweight Champion, it was revealed that Joe Coffey had signed a new Sports and Entertainment Agent, former ICW majority owner, Red Lightning. To many, Joe Coffey had sold his soul to the devil. To many others, it is understandable that Joe Coffey reached this point, the frustration of not being given the opportunites to become champion sooner, having to wait 7 months to get another shot at being champion, and that was through competing and winning the Square Go match. It is clear that Joe Coffey, by his own admitance, was all about the money from now on, and by becoming ICW World Heavyweight Champion, he had moved into the big money spot.

Another man who can be considered a big money player is 'The Bruiserweight' Pete Dunne. Since his ICW debut this past March, he has shown his immediate intent of becoming the ICW World Heavyweight Champion. Defeating Chris Renfrew and Joe Hendry on his first two outings before he was inches away from actually becoming champion in a match many consider the match of the year, a fatal 4 way match that also included Chris Renfrew, BT Gunn and then-ICW World Heavyweight Champion Trent Seven. Pete did not take the fall in the match meaning, he has yet to be pinned or made to submit thus far in ICW.

This is the first defence of Joe Coffey's newly won ICW title and it will immediately put Coffey to the test when he face one of the very best wrestlers walking the planet today. For the first time ever, 'The Iron Man' Joe Coffey will face the Bruiserweight for the richest prize in the business today, the ICW World Heavyweight title. Coffey is known for his sportmanship and doing things on his own, but with Red Lightning now in his corner, that may not be the case anymore. It is also no secret Pete Dunne is extremely close with former ICW World Heavyweight Champion Trent Seven, the man Joe Coffey has just dethroned as champion, so will that play a factor? Though Trent is known for being one the few true gentlemen of the sport, the gold can change a man. It can push him to new lows and make a man crazy, could that be factor?
