The 55: Better as enemies

Throughout 2016, the former ICW Tag team Champions the 55 were on top of the pile in ICW, Aligned with the Black Label who at that time controlled ICW, the 55, Sha Samuels and Kid Fite dominated the tag team division and it seemed they were destined to continue this reign and had their sights set on regaining the ICW Tag Team Titles. All of this changed on the 31st of July 2016 at Shugs House Party 3.

Team ICW would face the Black Label in a match with monumentous ramifications. If the Black Label were victorious, they would have complete control of ICW, if ICW won, it would be 50/50 again. The Black Label consisted of the team of The Phenom Drew Galloway, Big Kink Jack Jester and Kid Fite. Team ICW was Grado, Noam Dar and third mystery partner who had yet to be announced.

As the respective teams stood in the sold out ABC Glasgow, it was still unknown who the third member of Team ICW was. Then Grado proclaimed "No Pinky, No Party" and as he, Dallas and Noam Dar raised their smallest finger to the air the third man was revealed....as Sha Samuels!

Sha aligned himself with his fellow Pinky Party brothers and with that brough an abrupt end to the 55 and his partnership with Kid Fite.

Kid Fite stayed true to the Black Label and their cause and from that moment on, former best friends became bitter enemies. In the following months they would continue to attack each other at every opportunity, Kid Fite often being the main offender with sneak attacks as Sha Samuels would call out his former brother in arms demanding they face each other like men.
They would clash again in arguably the biggest match in ICW history in regards to what was at stake, complete control of ICW, Team Dallas consisting of Chris Renfrew, Grado, DCT and Sha Samuels Vs The Black Label, Drew Galloway, Bram, Jack Jester and Kid Kite. The match was only minutes in when both men ensured the other was elimianted from the contest as they continued fighting to the back, the issues between The Black Label may have came to a conclusion that evening but the issues between Kid and Sha were far from over.

As 2017 rolled around, both men were set to compete in the 30 man over the top rope Square Go match, a massive opportunity with the winner gaining a title shot at any time of their choosing. Their focus should have been on climbing the top of the ICW mountain and becoming number one contender but they could not take their minds off their personal issues and again they would be the demise of each other in regards to the contest.
This was enough for Sha Samuels, he recognised that the conflict with Kid Fite were starting to effect his progression within ICW in becoming ICW Champion. He propsed a match that would finally settle the score. Set in the most famous venue in Scotland and in an area that was no stranger to matches like the one Sha propsed, The Barras street fight. Kid Kite, maybe somewhat reluctantly, agreed.

April 16th they will settle this nearly year long conlifct in a contest that guarantees a high level of intense violence. Like so many other relationships in wrestling before them, what was once a succesful alliance and friendship had turned bitter. It seemed the 55 weren't better together, but better as enemies.
