In the past few months, Insane Championship Wrestling has seen a noticeable growth in the amount of top female talent who are looking to make a name for themselves in ICW. A mix of veteran ICW talent, as well as a few new faces, have been battling it out up and down the country, in an attempt to cement themselves as the top female competitor in the company. With competition now becoming so fierce, ICW GM Red Lightning made the huge announcement at ICW: Spacebaws – Episode 1 that, starting at the ICW Flying Circus run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, there will be an 8 person tournament to crown the inaugural ICW Women’s Champion, with the finalist’s going head-to-head for the title at ICW: Fear & Loathing VIII at the SECC on Sunday. November 15th!

This decision by Red Lightning to introduce a Women’s Championship may be one of his most popular to date, and will only cause the female competition in ICW to intensify further. While the brackets and participants for the tournament have yet to be finalised, Viper has already thrown her name into the hat, with the ever-dominant competitor looking for her chance to shine in Insane Championship Wrestling. While she certainly has all the tools necessary to be a champion in ICW though, Viper will need to wait and find out who else will be competing for the gold, and with the level of competition that currently exists, this tournament could quickly become one of the most-talked about parts of the ICW for the months to come!

Stay tuned to insanewrestling.co.uk to find out who else will be of the ICW Women’s Championship Tournament, starting at ICW’s Flying Circus run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Tickets for all ICW’s Flying Circus shows are available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.triplegmusic.com
