ICW: Fear & Loathing VII was a night filled with surprises, highlight reel moments and shocks, but of everything that went down in the legendary Barrowlands on November 2nd, no moment was as unexpected as the return of former ICW Heavyweight and Zero-G Champion Mikey Whiplash.

After losing the ICW Heavyweight Championship to Jack Jester a year ago, Mikey Whiplash shed his dark persona, and began on a downward spiral that saw him lose time and time again to the likes of Grado, Yum Yum, and Kay Lee Ray, before he abruptly left ICW without warning or explanation.

Gone for almost 8 months, ICW fans began to wonder if they would ever see Mikey Whiplash again, with not a whisper being heard from the twisted competitor. However, with the help of the enigmatic Sumerian Death Squad, it would appear that Mikey Whiplash has unlocked the darkest corners of his psyche once again, letting loose the demented soul who has run roughshod through ICW like few others ever have.

The Sumerian Death Squad have been locked in a vicious war of words in the past few months with the New Age Kliq, but when the verbal sparring turned physical, Tommy End and Michael Dante simply couldn't fight back against the numbers disadvantage that constantly faced them. With 3 members of the NAK coming to Fear & Loathing VII to face the SDS, Tommy and Dante decided to play the anarchists of ICW at their own game, and at the sold out Barrowlands in Glasgow, the New Age Kliq got far more than they bargained for.

Coming to the ring carrying a body-bag, which would soon be covered in blood, The SDS were ready to re-awaken a monster that has lay dormant for far too long. Tearing himself free from the bag, and revealing himself to the world, Mikey was met with thunderous applause from the crowd, and looks of complete disbelief from Chris Renfrew, Dickie Divers and Darkside. Rejuvenated and looking better than ever before, Mikey was the missing piece of the puzzle for the SDS as it would seem, helping them finally silence the NAK, and pick up the victory at Fear & Loathing VII.

Mikey's return may be an exciting prospect, but it also brings with it a lot of questions. Where has he been? Is he now a fully-fledged member of the Sumerian Death Squad? And has he let go of the animalistic rage that once drove him into feuds with the likes of Jack Jester and Grado?

While time will reveal at least some of the answers behind Whiplash's return, once thing is for sure: With Mikey Whiplash back, ICW will never be the same again!
