Mikey Whiplash vs Yum Yum - Special Referee Grado
By Scott Reid

Upon his return to ICW at the Third Annual Square Go, Mikey Whiplash made it his mission to take his frustrations out on a select group of people throughout the night. During what seemed like a heartfelt show of appreciation, Whiplash attacked ICW official Eddie 'Sideburns' Roberts, claiming the young referee had 'doubted' his ability to continue his scheduled match with Grado in December, after Whiplash was shockingly impaled by a broken guardrail. The punishment inflicted on Eddie Roberts was shocking for all too see, and prompted Grado and former ICW official Yum Yum to make the save.

Later in the evening, Yum Yum felt the consequences of his good-hearted actions when Whiplash blindsided him as he entered the Square Go match, costing the young man his opportunity at glory. Grado also felt the wrath of the former ICW Heavyweight Champion that evening, but managed to escape the deranged competitor's clutches to re-enter the Square Go match.

Mikey Whiplash has since claimed that he will not be appearing in ICW until March 30th when he takes on Grado at the O2 ABC, but Mark Dallas has given the former Champion a frank and firm ultimatum; If he chooses not to show up on Sunday night at ICW: The Goggles! They Do Nothing!, he will lose his opportunity to face Grado one more time at ICW: Still Smokin'.

With that in mind, Mark Dallas has booked Mikey Whiplash in his return match this Sunday against the man who missed out on his chance to compete for the richest prize in British wrestling back in January; Yum Yum. He may be known to many as the toughest referee to ever grace an ICW ring, but Yum Yum is also a trained professional wrestler outside the confines of Insane Championship Wrestling, and he will be looking for some redemption in Edinburgh this Sunday when he steps into the ring with Mikey Whiplash.

As if this match wasn't personal enough, a Special Guest Referee has been appointed for the contest in the form of Grado. The tension between Grado and Mikey Whiplash is continuing to grow every day in the lead-up to their match, but will Grado be able to call the match down the middle when one of his greatest adversaries is standing in the ring with him?

So will Mikey Whiplash appear on Sunday, now that his match with Grado on March 30th hangs in the balance? Will Yum Yum get his revenge for the punishment he received in January? And will Grado be able call this match completely down the middle?

ICW: The Goggles! They Do Nothing! takes place at Studio 24 in Edinburgh on February 23rd 2014. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster and Tickets-Scotland.
