It's been said that in life, all good things must come to an end. Even those magical moments at some point pass over to being mystical memories, and that changeover rarely happens without emotion.

For ICW fans, the surprise appearances of Fergal Devitt have been like a thunder bolt, crashing down on the company they believe in with as much excitement and presence as the weather anomaly provides on the earth. Renowned worldwide for his superior in-ring skills, and widely regarded as one of the best Junior Heavyweights in all of professional wrestling, the Irishman has made his own, self-styled impact on Insane Championship Wrestling.

And yet, there's that phrase again; 'all good things must come to an end'. With heavy rumours surrounding his immediate and long-term future, could June 1st in Newcastle really be the night on which ICW fans wave goodbye to this incendiary talent?

Since bursting onto the ICW scene in September, 2012, providing fans and talent backstage alike with a real treat of a match with Wolfgang, Devitt has shocked everyone with his sporadic appearances, none more so than Mark Coffey, the man he once defeated to become ICW Zero-G Champion in March.

The title is now back around the waist of Coffey, but few will forget Devitt's fleeting reign with the belt. Some argue that it's not the title that makes the man, but the man that makes the title, and Fergal Devitt certainly gave the Zero-G strap incredible credibility just by possessing it.

As for the future? Right now, we here at ICW have more questions than answers, with only the knowledge that the promotion's future is bright. For Fergal Devitt, if this is to be his 'last stand', just what lasting impression will he want to leave on ICW?

Years from now, ICW and wrestling fans could be talking about June 1st in Newcastle as not only 'Jimmy Nail's Revenge', but also perhaps 'Fergal's Last Stand'.

Limited tickets for 'ICW: Jimmy Nail's Revenge' (feat. a huge tag-team match pitting Grado & Johnny Moss vs. Jackie Polo & Mark Coffey) are still available from Ticketmaster.co.uk!
