As officially announced by Mark Dallas at ICW: I Am The Walrus last week, ICW's biggest show of the year, Fear & Loathing VII will play host to, potentially, one of the most violent tag team contests in Insane Championship Wrestling history. Tommy End and Michael Dante, collectively known as the dread Sumerian Death Squad, will finally get their opportunity to take on the New Age Kliq on the grandest stage that ICW has to offer. The question is, will the SDS be physically ready to take on the might of the NAK, after the vents that unfolded at ICW: Lucy In The Sky With Divers?
Last Sunday, after the SDS unsuccessfully challenged London & Kendrick for the ICW Tag Team Championships, Tommy & Dante attempted to show their respect to the current title-holders, but before they had a chance to truly enjoy the moment, Chris Renfrew, Dickie Divers and Darkside struck like wolves. Tieing Dante to the ring ropes, the NAK forced the monster of the SDS to watch as they decimated his friend and partner, Tommy End, like no-one has ever done before. Punishing Tommy mercilessly, Chris Renfrew put a firm and clear exclamation point on his attack on his nemesis, spiking him with a T-Virus on a steel chair, temporarily knocking End unconscious. Dante tried with everything he had to save his friend, but he too was helpless to the NAK's fury. In a truly sickening moment, Dickie Divers committed one of the cardinal sins of modern day professional wrestling, nailing Dante with an clean and unprotected chair-shot to the head.
Now with the match set, and their chance at revenge only a few weeks away, Tommy & Dante will have to work harder than ever to be at the top of their game, and gain their vengeance. The NAK are a truly ruthless and formidable force, but the Sumerian Death Squad have shown, on more than one occasion, that they are willing to go to some extremely dark places. In the past, the SDS have committed some terrifying acts in their hunt for gold, against men that simply stood in their way on the road to glory, but with the NAK making this rivalry as personal as any in recent memory, one can only imagine the lengths that Tommy and Dante will go to to take out the NAK once and for all.
An advantage that the NAK have going into this match though is, of course, their numbers. While this bout has been announced as a tag team match, it is still unconfirmed which members of the NAK will actually be stepping into the ring at Fear & Loathing VII. Any combination of Renfrew, Darkside & Divers could potentially take on the Dutch grapplers, making it very hard for the SDS to fully prepare for their opponents. It also isn't outwith the realms of possibility that Tommy & Dante will be forced to take on the all 3 members of the NAK, with the Kliq using their numbers to once again destroy the SDS.
ICW is only big enough for one team of destroyers, and this match will surely be one that fans will be talking about for a long time to come. Can the SDS gain the ultimate vengeance for an attack that jeopardized their careers, and their lives? Or will the New Age Kliq further prove that they are one of, if not the most dominant team in ICW, and British Wrestling as a whole?
