With the events of the last few months, it could be argued that the ICW Tag Team Championships are the most hotly contested titles anywhere in the world of the Professional Wrestling. With the likes of the Sumerian Death Squad, The Bucky Boys and Irn Jew having held the belts, it is apparent that competitors from all over the world are fighting for their opportunity to come to Insane Championship Wrestling, and prove themselves in ICW's tag team division.

At ICW: Helter Skelter in Newcastle, the first night of the ICW Magical Mystery Tour, two more names were added to the history of the ICW Tag Team Championships, as Paul London & Brian Kendrick shocked the world to knock the New Age Kliq off the top of the ladder, and claim the belts as their own.

The New Age Kliq had only regained the belts over a month ago, by defeating Irn Jew on the final night of the 'Everything's Coming Up Milhouse' tour. With the belts once again around the waists of Chris Renfrew and BT Gunn, no-one believed that they would see ICW Tag Team Championships change hands any time soon. However, London & Kendrick, who previously held the WWE and World Tag Team Championships, are renowned tag team specialists, and looked to prove that could still cut it as a top team, despite not competing alongside each other anywhere in the world for over a year.

In what was an extremely physical contest, both teams took each other to the limit, battling throughout the 02 Academy Newcastle, dazzling the fans with one of the fastest paced matches that ICW has seen in a long time. Renfrew and BT once again proved that they are a force to be reckoned with, but in the end, the NAK's first title defense did not go as planned, as London & Kendrick were able to pick up the victory, and leave Newcastle with the gold.

Their title win not only adds more prestige to the ICW Tag Team Championships, but also slightly alters the Magical Mystery Tour itself. With London & Kendrick originally set to take on the Sumerian Death Squad in a non title contest on Sunday October 12th at ICW: Lucy In The Sky With Divers, at the 02 Academy Leeds, their match will now be for the titles themselves. Can London and Kendrick hold onto their new titles, in a match against two extremely dangerous former ICW Tag Team Champions? We will have to wait until this Sunday to find out!
