Fear and Loathing 2 took place four years ago today and was Insane Championship Wrestling's first event in 22 months and fifth in total. It was billed as the company's rebirth and the card was packed for this night.

In possession of the ICW Championship was 'Darkside' James Scott, who was defending the belt for the first time since dethroning Drew Galloway at ReZerection in July of 2007.

His opponent was Kid Fite, whose only experience with the company at that stage was in tag team matches with Jimmie James as Fite Club. And, despite interference from Liam Thomson in this one, Darkside retained by delivering the Darkest Driver for the three count.

Thomson confronted him afterwards and it set up a title match between the two at the next event, Payback, in early 2010.

The Gold Label was also in its development stage and the "dream team" of Lionheart and Red Lightning aligned for the first time in what was scheduled to be a tag match against their biggest rival Wolfgang and his good friend B.T. Gunn.

However, Wolfgang could not make the event and Lightning cut a promo on him calling him a "shitebag" only for Gunn to confront Red and offer to take them both on himself! A beatdown commenced and out came Chris Renfrew to make the save for Gunn. Renfrew stepped in as Wolfgang's replacement for his ICW debut and announced the match was now Falls Count Anywhere. Who knew at this time what the future would hold for the duo who went on to become the New Age Kliq? It was a hard-hitting, fast-paced battle which ended up all over the Maryhill Community Hall, and which also seen Gunn take a PlayStation2 to the head, but it was Red and Lionheart who were victorious.

Jack Jester continued on his winning ways against the unpopular William Grange, though he did so with a little help from Ministry of Bizarre associate Lolita, and 'Bad Boy' Thomson won his match earlier in the night against Falcon in a solid opening bout. Fan favourite Scott 'The Butcher' Renwick was victorious against Brad Fusion, who didn't take losing the match well and attacked Renwick's valet Nikki Storm and Scott himself before Damian O'Connor made the save.

In other tag action, TJ Rage and Logan Storm – Logan Storm – defeated 'RTA' Danny McLean and Sean McKenzie. This event set ICW back on the road to success and the company has never looked back since!
